Captek

CAPTEK is a relatively new type of crown that employs the principle of capillary attraction to produce a composite metal alloy coping or framework comprising of 88% gold and 9% platinum group metals.

The advantage of this technology is that it allows for exact fitting castings by virtually eliminating differential shrinkage and thanks to its internal strength it can be used in much thinner sections.

The aesthetics of a Captek Crown in our view is superior to other restorations due to the 22 carat gold giving the finished crown a reflected warm colour and the results are showing that the gold content is appreciated by the patient.
